BIO
Nicholas A. Hayes has dedicated his legal career to defending individuals facing criminal charges. Nick joined the David Law Office in 2022 and continues to zealously defend clients being investigated by law enforcement and those facing criminal charges.
Nick graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law. While in law school, Nick participated in the National Native American Law Student’s Association moot court competition two years in a row. Additionally, he interned with the Indian Law Project of Reno, NV where he worked on everything from criminal defense in tribal court to blocking oil and gas leases on tribal lands. In undergrad, Nick received a Bachelor of Science degree in Organismal Biology.
After graduating from law school, Nick was admitted to the Kansas Bar in 2019. Since that time, he has devoted his legal career to the practice of criminal defense. He has represented clients on cases ranging from low-level misdemeanors to high level felony cases.
Whether inside or out of the courtroom, Nick enjoys the practice of zealous advocacy. His philosophy of criminal defense centers on a strong constitutional perspective, and the presumption of innocence. Nick takes the time to get to know his clients, as well as thoroughly researching the legal issues of a case, so that he can provide his clients with a strong defense.
When not practicing law, Nick enjoys spending time outdoors. Nick worked on a horse ranch as a young man and still enjoys equestrian sports. In his free time, his primary focus involves spending time with his family.
